Ceramic face pot. These were very popular in Roman Britain and many were made in Oxfordshire.
A rare, surviving example of 18th century needlework, depicting the design of a Roman, mosaic pavement discovered in 1712 near the village of Stonesfield to the north-west of Woodstock.
The production of pilgrim badges flourished in the Middle Ages in Europe, particularly in the 14th and 15th centuries. They are frequently found at sites of Christian pilgrimage.

  • Tuesday-Saturday            10.30am – 5.00pm
  • Sunday                                  2.00pm – 5.00pm
